Welcome Home
Thank you for visiting the Boston Day and Evening academy website. A leader in competency-based high-school education, Boston Day and Evening Academy (BDEA) helps young people who have been failed by traditional academic environments take hold of their critical high school years, and thrive.
While many BDEA students are too familiar with being let down by the public school system, that doesn’t stop them. Our students are built for success. They know what it means to “boss up” in the face of adversity.
BDEA is here to help students overcome any barriers to earning their high school diploma. From guiding students to excel academically, to providing a safe place where students can take care of their basic living needs … when we say, “we got you,” we mean it.
At BDEA, we encourage our students to turn any stumbling blocks they’re facing into stepping stones on the way to a bright, successful future.
Making it work for more than 1250 graduates
A leader in competency-based high-school education, Boston Day and Evening Academy (BDEA) supports young people to take hold of their critical high school years, and thrive. Located in vibrant Nubian Square, BDEA is an in-district Horace Mann public charter high school with an academic model that supports students to earn their high school diploma and move on to post secondary education and gainful employment. Students take control of their own inspired success while receiving support for challenges they experience outside school walls.
BDEA is a family of teachers, support staff, students, and education, non-profit and community partners, all focused on one thing: learning. Join us in our classrooms, our garden, and in our continued work for equity in education.
Hear directly from students about their experience at BDEA in our VIDEO, and learn how BDEA has made a difference in thousands of lives.
