The Application Process

We are currently accepting applications!

The admissions process at BDEA begins with completing an application. You can pick one up at the school, apply online, or download an application (Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, or  English) to mail to the school at:

Boston Day and Evening Academy
Attention: Admissions Manager
20 Kearsarge Avenue
Roxbury, MA 02119

The best way to begin the process is to be in touch with BDEA’s admissions manager. That conversation will help us begin to get to know you and will give you the information you need to feel confident moving ahead with your application. You will need to enroll in Boston Public Schools if you are not already a BPS student, and can do so at any of the family resource centers in Roxbury, Dorchester or Hyde Park.

Applications are received on a rolling basis, year-round. After you submit your application, please allow 2-4 weeks for processing. Our admissions manager will contact you to schedule an interview. The interview process allows us to get to know you better while answering questions you may have about our school. Once you complete the interview, you will be assigned to a mandatory three-day orientation session. If there are no seats available for your chosen start time at the time of acceptance, you can choose to be added to the waitlist for the lottery.

Orientation Schedule

BDEA’s three day orientation is a MANDATORY step in the enrollment process. BDEA’s orientation is a safe space where students learn more about BDEA’s culture, expectations, staff and students. Students complete an academic assessment and engage in assignments and activities to encourage self-reflection and relationship building. Orientation is a vital portion of enrollment and requires all who are invited to adhere to the expectations.
