Note: Parking at both of our school buildings is limited/reserved. Please plan to park on the street or contact the school in advance to determine which spots are free that day.

Phyllis Wheatley Campus

Directions by Subway

  • Take the orange line to Roxbury Crossing T station.
  • Exit the station, cross Tremont Street, and walk up the hill (past Madison Park High School on the left) towards the major intersection of Malcolm X Ave./Warren Street/Dudley St. (About a 10-15 minute walk)
  • When you get to the Nubian Square intersection (police station on your right), turn right onto Warren Street. The Roxbury Branch library will be on your right.
  • Cross Warren Street.
  • Take a left onto Kearsarge Avenue and walk up the small hill. The school and the entrance gate are at the top of the hill across from the garden.

Directions by Bus

  • Take any MBTA bus to Nubian Station.
  • Exit the station and walk along Warren St. towards the major intersection of Malcolm X Blvd./Warren St./Dudley St.
  • Cross Dudley St. heading towards the Roxbury Branch Library.
  • Continue along Warren Street.
  • Take a left onto Kearsarge Ave and walk up the hill to the school.
  • The school and the entrance gate are at the top of the hill across from the garden.

From 93 South

  • Take Exit 18, the Mass. Ave/Roxbury/Andrew Square/South Bay Center exit and stay in the right lane on the exit ramp.
  • At the light, turn right following signs for Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard.
  • Get in the center lane and go through the first light at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard. You are now on Melnea Cass Boulevard.
  • Take a left on Harrison Avenue. Follow Harrison into Nubian Square.
  • At stop light at the intersection of Harrison and Dudley Street, go straight and cross onto Warren Street. (The Boys and Girls Club will be on your right).
  • Continue straight.
  • At the second traffic light (cross street to the left is Moreland Street and to the right is St. James St. and Regent St.) make a U turn.
  • Take a right onto Kearsarge Avenue immediately following the traffic light with the Resurrection Lutheran Church at the corner.
  • The school and the entrance gate are at the top of the hill across from the garden.

From 93 North

  • Take Exit 16 – Southampton Street towards Andrew Square.
  • Take a left on Southampton, which will lead you straight onto Massachusetts Ave.
  • Take a left onto Melnea Cass Blvd.
  • Take another left onto Harrison. (The Boston Sewer Commission will be on your right.)
  • At the stop light at the intersection of Harrison and Dudley Street, go straight and cross onto Warren Street. (The Boys and Girls Club will be on your right).
  • Continue straight.
  • At the second traffic light (cross street to the left is Moreland Street and to the right is St. James St. and Regent St.) make a U turn.

James P. Timilty Campus

  • Follow the staircase up to the basketball courts through Jeep Jones Park.

  • The Timilty School is the brick building immediately in front of you. Come around the school to the entrance through the courtyard on Roxbury Street.

Directions by Bus

  • The closest Bus stop to the Timilty Campus is Malcolm X Blvd. at King Street in Roxbury. Bus routes that stop at this location include: 15, 19, 23, 28, 44, 45 and the 66.
  • Exit the bus and walk up King Street.
  • Follow the staircase up to the basketball courts through Jeep Jones Park.
