Our Learning Model

The BDEA Difference

Traditional Model

Students are assigned to a grade (9, 10, 11, 12) based on their age.

Courses last for 6 months to a year.

Students are assigned a grade rating (A, B, C, D, F) based on cumulative averages.

Competency-Based Model

Students are placed in courses based on their demonstrated skill.

Course modules are 11 weeks long.

No one fails. Progression from course to course is based on demonstration of competence.
