Omari Mobley, Community Field Coordinator

Omari M. Mobley joined BDEA in the fall of 2021 as a Community Field Coordinator. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Son of retired educators Karen and Greg Mobley and only brother of Nia-Kamil, Dara-Amira and Kheri Jelani. Mobley went to prep school and graduated from Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire, then continued his academic and athletic career at Merrimack College in North Andover where he played football all four years and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. Briefly played arena football in New Hampshire, and still loves to play flag football, and basketball in his spare time. Other hobbies include, reading, yoga, working out, video games, chess, cooking, golfing, drinking wine, and dancing.  Before arriving at BDEA, he worked as a paraprofessional in Lowell, Lawrence and Lynn at the middle school and high school level. Looking forward to coaching the men’s basketball team as well as the chess club here at BDEA and implement SEL while simultaneously breaking down the white supremacy culture.
